Phone Interview with 4 Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Citrix, Windows, VMware, Scripting, and Networking. You get asked from all 4 distinct areas. Some of the questions are outdated, but when asked for further clarification SMEs are not able to clarify. For example, asking about outdated Citrix technologies that only apply to 5.6 and not the current branch 7.x. The interview was textbook knowledge versus critical thinking and problem-solving questioning. Some of my answers were correct. SMEs told me otherwise. A simple google search would also prove that I was right.
After that phone call, you get the pleasure of waiting another hour or so for another phone call from the SMEs manager or supervisor. Then you get another round of technical questions. These questions overlap the previous phone interview. Also, new questions that are from different verticals such as Disaster Recovery and general SAN administration.
I am not sure who is out there that can answer detailed questions about Citrix (both XenDesktop and Netscaler), Windows AD, Scripting, VMWare, Networking, Disaster Recovery, and SAN from the top of their head but if you exist, you are officially my new idol.
