I spoke with the recruiter who told me that in order to proceed I had to do a “questionnaire”. Okay, no problem. But it wasn't a questionnaire, it was this crazy, 3 hour long assignment. I guess calling it a questionnaire was the only way candidates would do this. So, thanks to this terrible job market, I took 3 hours of my free time to complete this thing. Then I waited. And waited. A week later I reached out via email - I will attempt to give these companies a chance to act professionally - but still I heard nothing. Then, 2 days after that I get a generic email with no feedback as to what happened. Very unprofessional

Entrevista
Started with a take home exercise that took several hours, a couple trick questions. Then an experience/behavioral interview with a surprise brain teaser.
Then there was the ridiculous round where I was solely informed it was 'another brain teaser round you can't prepare for' where you are given a scenario about the stock market and you're supposed to give stock advice. I don't think this problem was solvable without prior stock market knowledge. I am not a stock advisor, I work in software. This is not Google, this is a 20 person consulting agency. I was ghosted at this stage without feedback. I asked several of my colleagues the same question and they came up with the same answer as me, so really don't know what they were looking for here. Came up with best and worst case scenarios, and asked all the boundary defining clarifying questions.
Theoretically there was ANOTHER round after this dealing with a case study presentation. Seemed excessive after the take home exercise.
This job market has made companies too bold. Overall way too many gotchas. I think they get off making themselves feel superior to other people.

Essentially, what stock advice would you give someone to offload a bunch of company stock without losing money. No risk tolerance. You are given technical definitions of stock-buying terms and have to pick from those.

4 stages, 1. Background/behavioral 2. Real-world analytical problem 3. Practical Problem 4. Brief job fit interview.
Casual and friendly, but detailed. Majority of the anxiety was in the not knowing what the prompts were going to be, but they were manageable with the relevant skills/experience.

Behavioral questions, ie. When was a time you implemented something new in your workplace? When was a time you failed? Etc.
Practical analytical problem solving - working through a problem given a prompt and accompanying information.
Both interviews were conducted over zoom and were semi-casual.
