Received an email request to "submit three video samples showcasing your recent or past works" in order to determine my "proficiency in video content creation and editing." That was a little annoying since I have links to my work at the top of my resume, but I sent the links.
A week and a half later, I received dates and times for an online interview, and I picked 2 dates. Then I received a request to "craft a quick-turn 30-second promotional video" and minimal assets were provided.
At first I was a little offended, since I'm not fresh out of college, but I went ahead and spent 7 hours on post-producing that piece and soon after, I had my online interview with a half dozen of the staff, plus a few more who were just lurking.
It was a pretty run of the mill interview with each person asking me some basic questions with zero back and forth exchanges. A few of the questions weren't really applicable to my position, so I couldn't really answer those except to state that I execute video based on provided creative source material, I don't create it myself. They have a full marketing department, so I don't know why those were even questions for me.
