Quasi job fair setup where you're given a time slot to meet with a panel of two principals to go over a set of pre-determined questions. It's a little jarring because it wasn't clear who I should look at initially. And I'm used to a bit more back-and-forth when answering a question, but it seemed much more one-way. Also, the two principals were from very different kind of schools (title I vs affluent), so how I'd respond would be quite different given the needs of the students / community. Overall, I would have preferred being interviewed for a specific school as I could have tailored my responses rather than give generic, "meh" answers. I also felt rushed as it was a time slot based interview, when I should have slowed down a bit. They transcribed my responses into a computer system that'll be linked to my overall job application. Speaking of, the application is not user friendly in terms of coming back to later compared to FCPS. I did appreciate the interviewers did have my resume printed out ahead of time. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this job pool interview style (basically a screener), if instead you could interview for a specific school. It's still early in the process, so I don't know whether I'll get an offer. But the lack of warmth compared to the FCPS job fair, makes me doubt whether I'd accept an APS offer.

Submitted my resume and principal contacted me two days later for an interview. I interviewed with the principal two days later and was asked to come back the same afternoon to interview with the rest of the team including some teachers and the assistant principal.
