Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Arts Council England (Manchester, Inglaterra) em jul. de 2025
Entrevista
I was disappointed with the interview. First of all, the members of the panel were not formally introduced and I didn't get a chance to introduce myself either. This opportunity would have been hugely beneficial for both myself and the panel, not only to break the ice but also broaden out what I already submitted in my application.
Secondly, the questions asked did not seem to give me enough of an opportunity to demonstrate the specific key skills that are required for the role.
Thirdly, 45 minutes was not enough time for the panel to ask the questions and for the candidate to do the same and ergo get a clearer understanding of the role and the organisation culture.
Fourth, although I appreciate the panel sending out the questions prior to the interview, half an hour is not enough time when candidates are also juggling other work and personal commitments.
Overall, the role itself appears to lack the variety, the responsibility and challenge that I need at this point in my career. The interview only re-enforced this impression and it's unlikely that I will apply for roles with the Arts Council in the future due to this experience.
