      The interview process in general for the company is extremely friendly, respectful, and encourages career growth and a positive work ethic. They ask if you have had prior customer service experience and if you have any sales background. However, it is not a requirement for the position.

      A recruiter called me after I applied online. He said he wanted to make an appointment to interview me. I asked one question, "Is it an employee based or contract based position." He replied, "We have 200 people" completely ignoring the very clear question. I asked again, and he said he didn't know what I was talking about. I asked if he really didn't know the difference between an employer and contractor. He said he didn't "think we'd be a good fit" And it ended. This is clearly a disreputable response and such coverup and avoidance of a basic question is a sure sign this is not a good organization where humans are respected.

      Foremost, I would like to apologize for the negative experience you had while contacting our company. It seems as though there was a definite miscommunication and that the situation was handled poorly. To answer your question: the Customer Service Representative position you were inquiring about is an opening for permanent employment. Ascendant Marketing Group is not a Staffing/Temp Agency and you were dealing directly with one of our Hiring Managers. I personally take pride in the fact that complaints such as this are very few and far between.       I didn’t meet with the person who originally called me. The previous review is very accurate. I went through a phone script with the recruiter. Then asked why they should pick me after he showed me on the computer all other people they interviewed and where I stand in the list. I told the recruiter that I would need a 2 week notice for my current job which meant I couldn’t start right away like they wanted. So then he asked me if I could work a certain day which reflected 2 weeks after the interview. I told him “I think so.” Response. “What do you mean you think? I told him I can’t guarantee. He responded “well, it was nice meeting you.” Bye. So unprofessional.
