Your skills don't matter as much as your talking skills and English comprehension do. Where you're from is more important than what you do. Additionally, since they are trying to replicate an Ivy league model they do prefer people who've studied in Ashoka over other institute as I believe they want to grow their in house talent. Not to discount that they do give non-Ashoka a try as well.
