      Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. O processo levou 5 meses. Fui entrevistado pela AstraZeneca em ago. de 2014

      Entrevista

      1. Applied online with an internal employee referral. 2. I had met the hiring manager in person at the PREP symposium in Boston (phone interview was therefore not necessary). 3. They called me onsite for an interview after 3 months of application. 4. Onsite interview consisted of meeting with all the scientists who would be working in the team. Sort of a 360 degree interview. Associate scientists, scientists, directors, senior directors. The interview was from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. I had to give a seminar for 45 mins followed by questions. Although from my team of 18 people only 5-6 attended my talk and hardly 3-4 perople actually showed interest (which did not feel comforting at all) The job was process characterization and not exactly process development. There were only a few technical questions maybe only 5% of all questions. They seemed to look for a person who could easily work in a team and collaborate. Seemed to be a very easy interview. 5. Had a phone call with one other director after 6-7 weeks. 6. Reference check was done with my PhD advisor. 7. Hiring manager calls me to tell me that out of the 6-8 candidates called for the interview I had made it to the top 2. He then tells me to submit to him a 2 page statement of purpose that would enable him to decide whom to take. This I found very weird. But i did it and he said he would come back to me within a week. After a months time, i send him an email and he tells me that he need 2 more weeks to decide. 8. After 2 weeks i get an automated message saying that i did not get the job.
