Hiring and interview process was not methodical. I was told to interview with one person and interviewed with another instead. They put me through a lot of steps and told me that they need to fill this very easy position with multiple people. They made me do an online simulated customer service test which I passed (I was informed by one on the people in the hiring process). It seemed like a sure win. Instead about 2 weeks later I get an automated message saying that I did not get the job. The interviewer should have given me honest feedback during the interview. I think he thought that I was overqualified and if so, he should have recommended me for other positions in this large company that has so many opportunities. Honesty is my best policy so maybe its good I did not get an offer to work under the supervision of this person.

The interview process for the customer service position started with a phone screening where they asked about my availability, background, and basic customer service experience. After that, I was invited for an in-person (or virtual) interview with the hiring manager. During the interview, they asked behavioral questions like how I handle difficult customers, how I stay calm under pressure, and how I work as part of a team. They also gave a few scenarios and asked how I would respond. The whole process was straightforward and focused on communication skills, patience, and problem-solving. I heard back shortly after with next steps.
