      Entrevista

Beware before applying to them. The interviewing process was full of red flags. I had a total of four interviews (with a total of six people) which I believe all went very well. However, the information I was given during the interview changed with each interview. I was told in the first interview that they valued work/life balance and that I would only occasionally need to work overtime. This changed in every interview with others telling me that they were so extremely busy at all times and that the amount of projects would be overwhelming. I did not object to this though in the interviews. My last interview was with the CEO and the other owner. The interview went well overall, however, their line of questioning was a bit unethical in my opinion. They asked me how much I wanted to be paid and would not give me a range of what the position paid (which is not legal in the state I reside in). I ended up giving them somewhat of a range and of course they told me that my lowest number was their highest number that they would pay. I also asked about benefits and was told by the one owner that I should not worry so much about the benefits as this would be a chance to get in on the ground floor and that better benefits will come in time (I wanted to laugh). I was also told that they have unlimited PTO, but then was told that I could take off an afternoon to go to the doctor if I needed (leading me to believe that no one probably ever takes PTO because they are too busy to). I was also told that they only pay for half of their employees health insurance policy. So, I asked how much that would be per month and was told that they would have to look it up for me. So inappropriately (in my opinion) the CEO asked my date of birth and then made comments about my age. She then told me she would look it up, yet never let me know how much it would be per month. After the interview, I was not given a decision for another two weeks. I was, however, asked for my references, which they checked. During this time, I also did some digging into the company more and found that they are always hiring for this position and I'm sure other positions. If you look on LinkedIn their statistics also shows that they are not growing (as I was told they were in my interviews) but rather may have less employees than they had at one point and that the average length that someone works there is a little over a year and a half. Lastly, I found online that they had several people leave M3 (including the CEO) to start Atlas and that they were actually sued by M3 for accessing client information before leaving and stealing those clients from M3. In the end, I was contacted by the CEO to tell me that they decided to go with another candidate (which is surprising since I was told they were hiring multiple people) whose skills and experience align more with the specific needs of this position, This is a lie as I have over 20 years experience in the market research industry and work for one of their competitors. By this point I was already going to turn them down if I received an offer because of all of the red flags and unprofessional/unethical behavior I received from them (and learned about them).
