There were three rounds of interviews, one with a panel of eight people, and an in-depth design test. They offered me a position a full 30% less than what I was valued at, an absolute pittance compared to what I could be making (and was soon to be making) in my area. I shot a pay range back at them and explained that the salary was simply unlivable. They immediately rescinded the offer and cut communication. I found that very dishonest and exploitative. It's clear that they were banking on me undervaluing me and my work.
