I received a brief informal phone call and was offered the position at the end of the call. I had already submitted a CV, references and cover letter. I spoke with the lab manager as well.

I was taken around and shown the various parts of the lab I’d be working in and told my role while working under the direct supervision of graduate students on their projects.

The interview involved talking to the PI and seeing if I was a good fit for the lab. They asked about my previous experiences in research, undergraduate classes, and other hobbies.
