Started with a phone screen, was asked to come in for an open house at the branch they wanted me to work at. The location for the open house was 30 miles from the location I applied to work at. Went anyway.
Had to take a mechanical aptitude test which seemed irrelevant to the responsibilities of the position I had applied to. Also a psych evaluation test which seemed odd.
Was brought into a branch manager's office and I saw it immediately go downhill. He thought I had applied to another position and was thrown off when I corrected him. He then spent the next 2 hours trying to convince me that the sales position would be a better fit for me, which I had zero interest in as it made less than my current job and with more hours, and made significantly less than my salary expectations I had informed them of on the phone screen. I kept dropping hints and implying that I was more interested in moving my career forward and felt the sales position was a step back. I wasn't interested in taking it but he persisted, and even agreed that it seemed like a step back based on my resume. Took me on a very strange tour of their warehouse as a last ditch attempt to convince me. Very awkward. Made it pretty clear I was not interested yet they still followed up a few days later asking if I had given the sales position any more thought. Overall a waste of my time.

Had a quick phone interview with HR, followed by an on-site interview at a local branch. I had to take a mechanical test (best of you prepare for it - search for free mechanical aptitude tests online) and an “integrity” test which essentially asked how likely you are to punch someone in the face... When finished I interviewed with the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager and they advertized the need to start as a route technician rather than as a Route Supervisor, the role applied for.
Although they preached the ability to move up, they certainly should NOT be advertising the Route Supervisor position if they don’t think someone without commercial kitchen experience is ready for the job. I went on a ride along just to learn more about the company (since the culture seemed good - blue collar route work with a good team) but ultimately removed myself from consideration since they wanted me to start as a tech which would have a significant drop in compensation.
