It was a four stage interview, I made it to the third stage. The first two stages were good - chats about my experience and where I see data and BI going in the future.
The third stage was disorganised and unclear. It was an analysis task where I had to present my findings. I was sent the wrong dataset, missing key fields that were required for the analysis. The response from the talent team was slow which slowed progress.
The recommended time for the task was 2 hours. If anyone could do this task in 2 hours I'd be extremely surprised - it took me closer to 6.
I thought the third stage went well, the presentation felt engaging and there were a good number of questions and interaction. Despite this, after a week of no communication, I chased the talent team for an update. A few hours later I received a generic rejection email, stating "we ultimately found that your experience is not the right fit for our business needs at present".
This was very disheartening - after putting in nearly 10 hours towards an interview process and going through three stages, there was no specific feedback on where I could have improved or how the presentation or analysis was lacking.
I reached out to the hiring manager directly for feedback but received no response.

There were three stages that included a presentation and then a final chat with a VP and it took around a month from start to finish. The interviews were all enjoyable and the people were clearly experts in their field.
