Entrevista
I was a consultant working on a project at the site when the Engineering Manager asked me if I would be interested in talking to him about an opening they had. It was a few weeks of email and telephone conversations before I was brought in to meet the entire Site Leadership Team. typical serial interviews - one after the other, total of about five hours. It went well and I was given the impression that I would be made an offer soon. The offer did come, but it was six-and-a-half months later. They had gone through some changes in structure, and the offer came from the Engineering Manager's successor.

I had worked in the site as a consultant for many months over the previous few years, so I thought I knew what to expect. What I didn't know was that they were about to launch a Six Sigma culture-changing initiative, and I was asked what my understanding of and experience with Six Sigma was. Of course, at that time I had none, but the last time I answered with "none" was at a GE facility. The interview ended immediately and I was escorted to the gate.
