My experience hasn't been positive. Initially, it took nearly two months for them to respond. The conversation was conducted over the phone without a camera, leaving me feeling like I was talking to a wall. It seemed as though the recruiter was simply going through a checklist of questions and trying to rush through the process. It felt more like they were focused on meeting a quota rather than genuinely getting to know me and assessing my qualifications.

Interview process consisted of an: (unpaid) creative test, HR screen, interview with the CMO and hiring manager, peer panel interview and an in-person lunch/culture fit. This process took about a month to complete and an additional month to get a final verdict. While I enjoyed meeting everyone, I am disappointed with how key decision makers conducted themselves. Throughout my interview process, I had the carrot dangled of being a “top candidate” on numerous occasions and was even asked to participate in an ad hoc call with the hiring manager two weeks after my in-person lunch to ensure I was still interested in the position. Given that my experience resulted in receiving a generic rejection email, I would’ve appreciated more tact up to this point as opposed to being led on. To add salt to the wound, I was also ghosted when I replied asking for more specific details on where I fell short. Based on this experience, I will not recommend nor apply to any other opportunities with Aviron.
