The first round happened with HR, followed by an assignment that was reviewed by the Principal Product Manager, who gave me a second assignment to solve. Later, I was talking to the Head of Engineering, and finally, the last round was with the CEO.
The questions in the initial rounds mainly focused on how I use AI in the design process and its application in everyday life. Unfortunately, the CEO round was the most disappointing. This disappointment stemmed not from the questions themselves but from the CEO's attitude toward my answers. He made a judgment about me and my life within the first five minutes and then sought statements that he could use to criticize me repeatedly. The interview never progressed beyond the first question. Despite my justifications, the CEO insisted on hearing something specific that I did not provide and continued to dwell on the same topic.
At one point, he mentioned that he saw "red flags," which I did not understand. I wondered why the people I spoke to previously for 90 minutes did not share the same concerns as the CEO. Overall, I would appreciate a more accepting and optimistic approach to a candidate's responses rather than passing immediate judgments and making others feel inadequate about their life experiences.
