I applied online to the Sales Development Representative position back in May of 2019. I received an email a few days later saying that they would like to give me a phone interview. I went through this pretty easily and proceeded to a second-round interview about a week later. These went well, and I was told that Awardco would like to make me a job offer and told me that they would reach out in the next few days with details. They did not communicate back with me until several days later than when they said they would reach out, and, to my surprise, said that they could not give me a job offer, and gave no reason as to why this decision was made. Awardco seemed like they were organized, but this is clearly not the case. My advice: do not lead candidates on if you aren’t 100% sure you can offer them a position because it wastes my time and your time as well.
