      Entrevista

Applied via their job posting on LinkedIn. Entire recruitment process was very quick. Heard from them the next day via email asking for a convenient time to schedule a telephonic interview with the current BR Head. Went ahead with the interview the same day. The telephonic interview was very casual. There was a short briefing about the company, the services they provide and what was expected from the ideal candidate for the role they were recruiting for. This was followed by questions around why I had quit my previous job and why I wanted to switch to a new one. Also asked me for my salary expectations. I was told that there would be 3 rounds in all. First was the telephonic interview, second was an assignment and third was a face-to-face interview. Post the telephonic interview, I was emailed an assignment to be done. It was a research and consulting job which I had to complete and also make a presentation on the same along with preparing a work plan in Excel. I was given one and half week (approx. 10 days) to complete it. I completed the assignment in 7 days and mailed it across. Heard from them the next day stating that they would like to make a job offer. And there would be a final round of interview with the CEO. It so turned out that the CEO was travelling and the interview had to be done over the phone. Talk with the CEO was a 10-minute thing. Very basic questions around how I would manage a team, whether I was confident about getting work done and sticking up to deadlines even when the senior management wouldn't be around and considering late working hours, my comfort level for travelling to and from office. We had to drop the chat mid-way because he had to be somewhere. But he suggested I continue the conversation with the BR Head and clear all my questions and doubts. I followed that up with a meeting with the BR Head at their office. Had a very long conversation with him and discussed countless questions pertaining to salary, travel, job responsibilities, project timelines, work pressure, working hours etc. He even showed me a glimpse of some of their current projects. I asked for a couple of days' time to think about the job offer and get back.

It would have to be the assignment. It's not difficult or unexpected, just challenging enough if you haven't done any work on that industry/sector before.
