I initially applied for a different role. I was contacted by a recruiter to set up a phone interview but I never got a response back. About a month later, I saw that the position was still available so I applied again. Once again, I received a generic email from a recruiter with something along the lines of "You meet the qualifications of this role. Let's talk." Once again, I sent the recruiter my availability to no avail. Then about a month later, I applied for the Consumer Assessment Survey Associate position. I received the same generic email except that this time, the recruiter emailed me back regarding my availability. During our phone screening, the recruiter asked me to send him my skpe username so that I could speak with a manager next. I did so and the recruiter thanked me for the information. About a week later, I followed up to see if we could discuss availability for the skype interview and I received no email back. I never got a generic rejection email for either of these positions which I understand this company does not owe me, but if I've gotten as far as a phone screening, I'd like an email if they've decided to move on with other candidates. I just had to deal with incredibly unprofessional recruiters.
