I applied for the logistics coordinator role, for which I was first interviewed by Vanessa. We had a good conversation and I was told that while I could be a good fit for this role, they were also hiring for a buyer which fit more closely with my experience.
I was then forwarded to Christina, their purchasing manager. We also had a long and productive conversation, and I was told that I would be a good fit for this role too. I was told, word for word, "they did not want to let a candidate like me pass by." We discussed the potential schedule, start date and job details and planned for another meeting the following week to talk about the job more in depth.
However, despite three follow ups on my part, several weeks went by without any further correspondence from the purchasing manager, Christina. When I sent yet another follow up and cc'd the original interviewer, the purchasing manager replied very quickly to let me know that they were no longer hiring for that role. I never heard back from the original interviewer, Vanessa.
All in all, I went from being told that I was a great fit for two roles with implications that they wanted me to join the team to being virtually ignored. Very sloppy and disorganized interview process and, from what I saw, not a company that a driven and organized person should try to get involved with.
