      Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela B&H Photo Video (New York, NY) em nov. de 2017

      Entrevista

      Recruiter reached out and had a quick phone call, then invited me for an interview at the corporate office. First thing you'll notice is you might feel out of place if you aren't a Hasidic jew, but it was friendly environment. Second, you'll have to fill a huge packet of paperwork that takes a half hour, including re-iterating your past work experiences and any other digital application you already filled out. The interview started with the recruiter who wasn't part of the creative team, so he asked generic questions such as biggest failure, accomplishment, etc. It didn't feel relevant or useful. Once a creative lead from marketing stepped in, we talked about skills and portfolio, and what he was looking for. Unfortunately the role itself was quite basic, and I was overqualified. For a company that is known for photo/video, it seemed that the creative department is lacking, and very outdated. It clearly needs to be updated or outsourced to an actual advertising agency. I suggested my skills might fit better in their social media or video departments, and I would be very passionate to work in those areas, but they ended up declining me an offer. The choice was understandable based on the marketing role they were filling, but would've liked to be considered for a more senior role in other creative departments.
