I committed time and effort towards preparing for two rounds of interviews with BBC Maestro only to never hear back with a decision a month after the second stage interview.
The decision for the first round interview took longer than I was originally told to expect - I received an email from the interviewer apologising for the delay and assuring me that despite this, the interviewer was committed to progressing the recruitment process. I was invited for a second stage interview with two interviewers and was sent a list of questions to prepare responses to. I committed more time and effort to the process in preparing responses to these questions and more general preparation. Like the first, the second interview seemed to go well and I was advised that I would receive a decision the following day. It has now been 4 weeks and I have still not received a process update or rejection from BBC Maestro.
It was emphasised to me over email and during both interviews that I could reach out at any time with questions, however despite emailing to request an update on the process 5 and 9 days following the second interview, I never received an email back from either of the two interviewers.
It is the most basic professional courtesy to provide an email rejection following an unsuccessful interview. I would strongly advise against applying to this company due to its employees' evident lack of respect or empathy for candidates who dedicate time and effort to applying and interviewing.
