I recently went through the recruitment process at BCG Platinion for OT Cybersecurity Senior Consultant, which is supposed to consist of four interviews. During the initial interview, I was surprised by the interview with a background in general IT and cybersecurity topics rather than OT/ICS-specific concepts. As someone with 8 years of experience, I felt my expertise wasn’t fully assessed, and the interview focused on experiences unrelated to the position I applied for. Moreover, the team is not yet segmented into specialized practices, as consultants are expected to work on all subjects—IT, OT, cybersecurity, Agile, etc. According to the interviewer, they don’t yet have enough missions to justify specialization.
