I was referred to an executive level role by a colleague who is a current executive at BD. The BD team started out strong with a quick round 1 series of chats. I thought those interviews went quite well, and was excited about continuing the process. After 3+ weeks, I've now been ghosted after numerous attempts to check in on any status updates on next steps. This is not the way to treat any candidate, let alone an internal referral from another high level exec. I understand if they are still interviewing other candidates, and I'd even understand if they decided to not move me along in the process. I do NOT understand being ghosted. It's simply not curtious or professional. I expected better from BD. How long does it take to hit reply, and send a 1 sentence or less note in response?
