I recently had an interview with a senior member of the Corporate Development team, and unfortunately, it was one of the most unprofessional and disengaging interactions of my career.
The meeting was rescheduled last minute with minimal notice, setting a disorganized tone from the outset. During the conversation, the interviewer appeared disinterested—frequently checking his phone, yawning, and offering little meaningful engagement. What was especially concerning was the inappropriate opening question about my ethnic background, which felt out of place and unprofessional.
Beyond the individual interaction, the role itself felt loosely defined. The team seems to be involved in a mix of acquihire-style transactions, scattered commercial partnerships, and one-off strategic initiatives without a cohesive long-term vision. The structure appeared flat and underdeveloped, and I got the sense that it would be easy to get pigeonholed into reactive, ad hoc workstreams without clear upward trajectory or strategic clarity.
Overall, the experience raised serious red flags about both leadership culture and the stability of the team’s mission. Proceed with caution if you're considering opportunities here.
