Interview process was very grueling and required about 40 hours from me over the course of a week and a half, including work on the assignments given to present as well as the interviews themselves. Made it to the final interview and received a rejection email a few days later. I was disappointed, but naturally decided to move on in my job search. The recruiter then contacted me a week and a half later and gave me a verbal offer for a more selective position in another department. Of course I said yes, and they promised to follow up in the next two days. They then proceed to completely ghost me. Zero communication despite two follow up emails from me. I would have been fine with just the initial rejection, but to reject me, then reach back out to me with an offer for another position, and THEN ghost me? If an offer has to be rescinded, the least they could do is communicate that. Extremely unprofessional behavior which isn’t what I’d heard about BMC before. I liked everyone I interacted with during the process. I thought they were supposed to be better than that, but clearly they aren’t.
