      Initial Screening: The hiring team at BMO will review the applications and resumes received to identify candidates who closely match the job requirements. This initial screening helps to create a shortlist of potential candidates. Phone or Video Interview: Selected candidates will be invited for an initial phone or video interview. This interview is usually conducted by a recruiter or a member of the HR team. The purpose of this interview is to assess the candidate's qualifications, experience, and general fit for the role. In-person or Virtual Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will progress to the next round, which may include one or more in-person or virtual interviews. These interviews may be conducted by the hiring manager, project stakeholders, or members of the project team. They aim to evaluate the candidate's technical skills, project management knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and alignment with BMO's values and culture. Case Study or Presentation: Depending on the position and project requirements, candidates may be asked to complete a case study or prepare a presentation on a specific project-related topic. This allows candidates to showcase their strategic thinking, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively. Behavioral or Situational Interviews: BMO may conduct behavioral or situational interviews to assess how candidates handle various work scenarios and challenges. These interviews provide insights into a candidate's past experiences, decision-making skills, and their approach to managing project-related situations. Panel Interview: In some cases, candidates may participate in a panel interview where they meet with multiple interviewers simultaneously. This format allows different stakeholders or team members to collectively evaluate the candidate's fit for the project and organization. Reference Checks: Before extending an offer, BMO may conduct reference checks to verify the candidate's qualifications, experience, and performance with previous employers or professional contacts. Offer and Onboarding: Once the selection process is complete and the successful candidate has been identified, BMO will extend a formal offer. After accepting the offer, the candidate will proceed with the onboarding process, which includes completing any necessary paperwork, background checks, and receiving orientation to BMO's policies, procedures, and project-specific details.
