We communicated only on LinkedIn Messaging platform, which I thought was odd, as usually job related information is sent via emails. She told me to watch a 40+minute video before our zoom call, to get a feel for what the company is like. On our zoom call, it was a nice talk actually. She seemed to affirm and reaffirm my hesitance with working with a network marketing company (i.e. Amway or rather a virtual franchise). I thought this could be a great career opportunity because of the flexibility and community support. During the interview she said I'd be a great fit and that she'd like to have me on board. She also mentioned that the $52 cost of the start kit would be waived. She was going to send me details and I accepted in that same call. I knew I needed time to research the company and think about it, so I slept on it. The next morning I discovered she had messaged me on LinkedIn a few times. She had sent all the details within LinkedIn and had voice recorded directions on what to do. Then she asked if I had filled out all the details. I was confused because she never mentioned a due date. I felt rushed and didn't sit right with me. I also noticed that the online form had asked for my social security. I was a bit alarmed by that. She asked again if I had finished the form, I wanted this job, so I filled it out and said that I did. Then she kept giving me directions via voice recording to set up my virtual office, but my computer was having issues with the Juice Plus+ website (Juice Plus+ is the product they sell). She said that's fine and that she can fill out my order manually and to give her my credit card details for my first order of Juice Plus+. Apparently the wellness coaches have to buy their product (which they do get commission from) as soon as you sign on. I felt very pressured and rushed by the whole process that it was concerning whether or not I want to work at this type of place. I told her I needed to think about it and asked if there was some sort of deadline. She said she needed my order as soon as possible because training begins tomorrow and we are already behind. Mind you this is happening less than 24 hours of my zoom call with her. At that point, I asked a health coach friend about this company and she said that it was a MLM scheme and did not favor it. I looked up reviews and they said almost 80% of people working here end up losing money. It doesn't say within what time frame, but knowing myself and that I'm not super into sales, I knew I'd be one of those people. So that night I said thank you and declined my "offer" and wished her a good journey. I didn't hear anything from her after that message.
