My experience with Bankers Life happened as such: For the first interview, I was one among five. It wasn't really an interview, more of a presentation where the supervisor of the branch gave us a rundown on the basic of what the position would be, what it would pay, a day in the life, etc. This lasted about 45 minutes, after which I felt very excited, so when the supervisor asked me to return for interview two, I couldn't wait! This second interview was a one-on-one with the supervisor, where he basically let me lead the direction and focus of the conversation. I had some questions written down which he answered, and I gave him more detail into my own experience. By the end, I asked him if he had any hesitations to me taking on this role, and he flat-out told me he had no hesitations. Understandably, I was surprised when after I smiled, shook his hand, was told to expect a follow-up email for a round-three (which was basically an offer, he said), and left, I never heard from Bankers Life again. Until about a month later, when an unfamiliar voice claiming to represent Bankers Life left me a voicemail, asking to meet me! By this time, I had already accepted another offer, which I told the voice when I called back, although I would've leaped at the opportunity a month ago when I went through this process the first time. The kicker for me was that the lady I spoke to while calling back, after inquiring about why I was ghosted the first time, told me that my second-round interview was penciled in as a "No Call, No Show" on MY end, even though I absolutely was present and attended. At the beginning, Bankers Life seemed promise me the world, but I was left with nothing but a bitter taste in my mouth by the end.
