asked about work history, experience in running multicampus locations
I applied online. The job posting stated that it required 7+ years of retail supervisory experience. I was asked during the application process about my required salary. Glassdoor's Salary Information said pay should be $60K to $90K.
I said $76K because that is what the store manager at the bookstore where I currently work makes.
I got an e-mail a month later asking me to interview.
The interview was fairly laid back. It was mostly the interviewer telling me about the company.
They mentioned flex holidays and then went on to spend 5 minutes talking about Mardi Gras, how much they loved it, and that they always come home with a bunch of beads.
As the 30 minutes was about to expire, they quickly mentioned that the pay was hourly and in the teens. I was speechless. That was less than I was making in my current role as an assistant manager at a college bookstore at a smaller college.

This is a high stress position as many professors often want us to source out-of-date and out-of-print textbooks. Your job will be to convince them to go with a textbook from our database.
How would you handle a situation where the department head demands that you find textbooks that you cannot source?

Great work culture! I loved my boss, my coworkers and the job. The job success depends a lot on campus partners. Worth working for! Very retail. Rush periods and slow periods.
