This part is focused purely on proficiency in Ruby, but there's a strong preference towards functional paradigm. It starts off with a pair programming warmup task where you should absorb their style of work. Then you proceed to a main task which is about implementing something useful and requires thinking out loud so they can assess your workflow. Interview is timed. Know your lambdas, read Eloquent Ruby. After failed interview you are given a lukewarm invitation to reapply.
