      Entrevista

      After receiving an email for an intro call, I agreed to speak the following day. The call was extremely in-depth and required examples of past experiences that I was not prepared for as I was under the impression this was an introduction. I was not expecting to need prepared examples of specific past experiences for a 15-minute phone call. I had reviewed company details prior to the call and noticed a discrepancy between their website URL "joinbetter" and overall header branding "better", and asked whether the official business name was "Better" or "Better Health" and the recruiter responded as if this was the most ridiculous question she had ever heard. She really rubbed me the wrong way and asked me zero personal questions. She mentioned that they only hire the best of the best and that leadership is extremely particular about who they bring on. This makes sense but the way it was expressed gave me a toxic vibe. I was surprised to move on to the next step but did not proceed past the first official interview. Overall, I got bad vibes from the initial recruiter that did not make me want to join this company.

      Applied online. And 1 month later got an invite email for a screening phone call. The caller was unprofessional and rushed the call and told me not to waste time and dive straight into the questions to see if there was a mutual fit. They made it look like they made up their mind that i was not a fit before even starting the call. Rather than starting the call by introducing themself and giving me an overview of the company and role, they asked me to dive straight in and introduce myself, my background, after they asked extremely in-depth and required examples of past experiences that I was not prepared for as I didn't even get an overview of the company and role to tailor my most relevant past experience to this role. After asking me past example questions and the usual logistical questions, I had the opportunity to ask them questions for the last 3 minutes. It was very rushed and did not get the opportunity to have all my questions answered. I ended up emailing the recuiter after the call the remaining questions but i was ghosted and never received a reply from them. After 24 hours, i received the generic automated rejection email. If they are going to waste my time, the least they could have done was a human touch to the rejection email and personally reach out. I was under the impression this was an introduction call where they would share more about the company and answer any questions i had. I was not expecting to need prepared examples of specific past experiences for a 15-minute phone call. She really rubbed me the wrong way and asked me zero personal questions.
