Recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn about open job. I responded saying I’d be interested in learning more about the opportunity and a phone interview was setup.
Phone call with recruiter went well which she informed me their hiring process was lengthy- including a take home presentation that I would need to create and present to numerous employees…
I was invited to interview with hiring manager but did not make it past that interview. I understand companies do not owe you anything but for claiming to be such a people focused company and providing no feedback as to why they did not move forward with you is a little frustrating. Just glad I didn’t waste my time with their take home assignment in the next stage.
The entire interview process took about a month. I initially spoke with the recruiter, Courtney, who is without a doubt the best recruiter I have ever worked with. Between managing/hiring a team and interviewing in my life, I’ve worked with a lot. She was exceptionally thorough- covering company, team, job, compensation and laid out the process moving forward so there were no surprises. Next, I met with the hiring manager for 30 min who asked a lot of questions but made sure I was able to get all of my questions answers as well. I would have appreciated more personality during this first meeting if I’m being honest. Felt almost robotic at times. Up next, there is a homework presentation. It took me about 4 days to finish while juggling working full-time. I presented it to the hiring manager which might have been the most fun part for me. After that was concluded, I got to meet a lot more people that I would be working with on a day-to-day basis which gave me a good idea if I could really see myself working here. Then I had a final round interview. LOTS of steps! If you don’t have a flexible working schedule, this will be hard to get through in a month. My personal opinion, it was nice to meet all of the different people but some interviews, like the final one, felt a bit redundant.
Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela BetterUp em fev. de 2023

Had initial interview. It was professional, but as others have mentioned the recruiter was cold, and not too personal. I was hesitant to even have the interview based on recent reviews from employees calling the environment toxic, and questioning the culture etc. It left a bad impression with me. Something about this company seems a bit off, at least right now.

O processo levou 2 meses. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa BetterUp.

I applied and finally heard back after a month for a first round interview.
The first interview went really well. A second interview was set up about 1-2 weeks later
This second interviewer was really tough but I felt confident in my answers.
After about a week I was asked to do a take home assessment. I spent about 2-3 days on this and then followed all the steps to submit it. After doing so I never heard confirmation of receiving it all. That was slightly rude given my effort. I then followed through and they confirmed receipt.
Then I was ghosted for weeks!
I finally received an email claiming internal issues and they will get back to me once they figure things out. That has been a couple of weeks and still no word.
I really got my hopes up and wasted hours and effort to be dragged along for over 2 months.
