Truly the most horrific, mental health taxing process you could EVER imagine going through! I’ve been through what I believed to be long interview processes before, but this one takes the cake (in the worst way possible). Their search process goes completely against their stated mission and it’s a shame. It is an insanely long, arrogant, and ego-inflating (for them) process — DO NOT apply or interview here! There is lack of clarity in communication and expectations, emails sent at odd and strange hours of the night and on weekends, and zero respect for your time, energy, and talents. Teams do not appear to communicate well virtually or remotely with one another when it comes to interviewing and hiring. I was halfway through the process at one point and still wasn’t given the compensation range for the role — I had to inquire about that myself — that should’ve been given to me by that point! Spare yourself a few grey hairs and just say “no” — there are better and more compassionate companies out there that will let you know how much you are valued in the interview process than this one does. I’d never be open to interviewing for a job here again and I’d certainly discourage anyone else from doing so. It’s a candidates’ market right now — so BetterUp should get with the times and shorten and condense and add some more empathy to their interview processes or else they will continue to lose out on top talent. Good riddance!!
