Your typical interview process with back and forth and basic company interview. I immediately realized at this point that the company follows a scheme-y MLM format and was turned off from the position.
Thank you for your feedback however I do want to address that we are not an MLM, nor do we fall under any sort of "scheme". We're a legitimate sales and marketing firm, focusing on brand exposure for small clients. I apologize this was not a good fit, but would love to discuss details of our business so that you fully understand our business model. Please reach out to us at HR@blackcardmgmt.com so we can set up a time to chat! Thank you!

Classic bait and switch job. Applied on Indeed. I had a phone interview prior to the in person interview. Over the phone, I was told it's an hourly position with the range of 35k-40k yearly. Things sounded great and I was excited for the in person interview. In person, the interview went really well and I liked what I was hearing about the job. However, I found that this is a sales position with a base pay plus commission. Many reviews mentioned selling linens or other various products in Costco or Sam's Club. This was never mentioned while I met with the interviewer, but later I confirmed this with a conversation I then had with their recruiter. Needless to say, I declined the offer. PLEASE beware of these marketing companies and their deceptive recruiting tactics. They are desperate for employees and they will prey on people who need a job. There is a reason why their turnover rate is so high.

What are three traits/skills that set you apart from other applicants?
Thank you for your feedback as we do take these into consideration! However the role you applied for was a sales and marketing role; we absolutely work with big box retailers to bring small brands awareness, exclusivity and revenue. You chose to apply to our company, we did not personally recruit you nor were you sought-after so saying that we're "desperate for employees" when you actively applied doesn't really seem fair. There are higher turnover rates for most sales roles and we do not hide that fact. We are ranked as a top place to work by Fair Business Report so we feel comfortable with a higher turnover, as long as we provide equal opportunity for everyone regardless of experience and those that are qualified do stay onboard. After reviewing with our HR team, it doesn't look like we offered you the position so stating that you "declined the offer" does not hold true. Regardless, if you have additional feedback you may email our team at INFO@BLACKCARDMGT.COM and we wish you the best of luck in your future!

The interview process was quick and friendly. Informative, but vague... the "events" are standing in stores selling stuff. They'll say it's part of training, but if you put in 30 minutes worth of research you'll see it's a sales scheme. Another concern I had was the multitude of comments on here, while the company claims it only has 11-50 employees, which either means there is a high turn over, or something isn't right.
When offered the position, I brought up my concerns to the interviewer, and she said it was a way to wade through all of the employees and to see who would work hard enough to move to the top. Then when I turned down the offer, she became very negative. I feel that was enough to represent the company culture.
I do hope BCM will listen to these concerns and create a wonderful work environment, that is transparent from the beginning. To all out there who are researching and or in the interviewing process, I wish you the best of luck.

Leadership style
What sets you apart from the competition/what makes you better than them?
Thank you for your feedback on our interview process, as we do take these into consideration! We've been open for over three years, but we do have less than 50 employees. There is absolutely sales involved, so there will be a turnover, but we do recruit and employ like an NFL team; looking for the sharpest, fastest, strongest players. We will definitely take your feedback to our hiring team and we wish you the best of luck!
