Two senior environmental scientists interviewed me, asking a number of questions and explaining the position in more detail. I asked questions as we went along, then I had a 30 minute written test afterwards, which involved one of their previous projects. I was then shown around the building by another environmental scientist, which also gave me an opportunity to ask informal questions. The interview took approximately 2 hours.

Good interview with who I would've been reporting to. Got to the end, got passed back to HR and we could not agree on a number, which was strange because I had agreed to a number with the department head.
