Very weird interview. Unfriendly and grumpy guys. No smiles, no introduction. They asked me to describe my experience and quickly replied I'm not a cultural fit there. Maybe something was missed in translation, but I had a lot of interviews in the past which went well. Maybe they expected a "student on an exam" behavior.

The first interview was initiated shortly after applying and scheduled soon after to be conducted through Hangout. The interview process goes through 3 stages as follows: 1) 30 min interview, get to know the company, expectations and requirements and they get to know you better. 2) the interview breaks into two 60 mins sessions, firstly the Cultural fit interview to better understand your working style and how do you play amongst the team. Second party focuses on the technical perspective to better understand your previous experience, followed by some technical questions and a small live coding session to test your skills. 3) the last interview is over the course of 90 mins and involves a more thorough cultural fit questions, meeting the director of engineering and lastly meeting one of the Co-Founders. The process is rather straight forward and clear from the beginning, whist allowing the time for you to ask questions. The team has a vibrating positive energy, and are clear on what they're looking for, prioritize a great cultural fit over technical know-how. Some of the key values addressed are: open-mindedness, clear feedback, and enthusiasm.
