The interview process was lengthy and inconsistent. The process began with three rounds scheduled within one week, with urgency communicated around making a hiring decision by the end of that week. This included a recruiter screen, an interview with a current EA, and a scheduled virtual meeting with the President — which he did not attend, and no communication was provided until I followed up. Despite the initial urgency, the process extended over the course of a month. I was asked to attend an in-person meeting and given an exercise to complete the day prior. Following that, I was assigned a second exercise with a one-week turnaround that required building a fully developed executive portfolio dashboard. After another week, I was asked to meet the President and his wife for coffee. I was also asked to provide three professional references, each of whom was sent an 11-question questionnaire to complete. Ultimately, after multiple rounds, substantial work product, and time invested by my references, I received a rejection via email with no feedback or explanation. Overall, the process lacked consistency, clear communication, and respect for the time investment required — both from candidates and from the people in their network. One additional note: the role did not include equity as part of the compensation package, which stood out given that the company is female-founded and has a predominantly female workforce.
