      Entrevista

      One of the most unprofessional interview experiences I have ever had. I met with the CEO, who was 30 minutes late to the interview. The meeting was in person at their offices deep into the Dogpatch, and because he didn't tell me he would be late until about 15 minutes beforehand, naturally I was already on my way and sit in their offices waiting on him. He strolled in with his dog, who sat in the room during our discussion. What's more, because we only had an hour allotted, I took a morning off work and spent $45 on Uber rides to and from their office for just over half an hour of actual interviewing. Afterwards, I sent him a proposed plan for their communications strategy, which I spent several hours working on, but the process died on the vine after I was stood up for a phone call by another employee and eventually got tired of following up with her and the CEO. Not that it matters, as you should treat everyone who comes through your door with respect, but this was for a senior level role, not an internship or something entry level. All in all, it put a terrible taste in my mouth about BloomThat, and not only would I not recommend working there, I no longer want to be a customer.

      First, I would like to thank you for sharing the feedback about BloomThat interview process. So sorry to hear that you had such experience with us. There are no excuses for being late, but I can assure you that our company improved our hiring process and we are very considerate about our candidates needs and their time. Unfortunately, when it comes to applying for jobs at smaller companies, many people get involved during interview process and ultimately, there are no follow ups. This is one of the many reasons why small startups need to hire an HR professional to handle such cases and guide their team members through the entire process by avoiding the bitter taste. Our company has changed dramatically and we treat every customer (externally or internally) with high respect.
