first round of interview: what is your motivation what does bloomberg do what do you know about the role you applied for current state of financial market where do you see yourself in three years what are your strengths any other questions? passed first round, and have a second interview will be questions on: knowledge abt Bloomberg and their culture financial markets and current affiars behavioural questions questions about my understanding of this role/program

I had applied online on the Bloomberg website after seeing a posting on a University job board. The application was simple and intuitive and I received a call/email within a day or so to set up a phone interview with the recruiter. The phone interview was very basic and it seemed as if they were picking at why I choose my major and not a business program. They asked how kept up with the financial markets and very basic questions to my background. I did not feel that these questions were in any way challenging or a measurement of my experience or value. I was applying for a sales/analytics position and have been involved in Bloomberg's sales process first hand, evaluating their software. That did not seem to have any value to the recruiter.
