Entrevista
Process took 6 to 7 weeks. Started with a recruiter who found my resume and then contacted me in early May. Recruiter was great. Spoke to me about 40 minutes. Said she spoke to about 40 candidates prior and said that I was hands down the best of all.
A week later spoke to the corporate HR Rep. Spoke to her at length and all signs were great. She said we absolutely want to bring you in to Detroit for an interview.
A few weeks later arrangement were made to interview with six leaders within 4 time slots. Interviewed with each. Very engaging. Very professional. Asked a lot of tough questions. At end of each segment I asked if any concerns so that I could clear up before I go. All said no. Confidence was high.
At end, was askwd to have one final meeting not listed on the agenda. The Corporate HR Rep and a peer talked with me about documents that she previously sent to me and already discussed at length over the phone regarding benefits and all that. I was thinking this was an unnecessary meeting.
Then she noted my salary requirement listed on the application was higher than the range they have in mind. We had discussed this prior on our original phone call, and I said it is my target, and it is flexible based on all other pieces to a potential offer. She said we will not pay that high and we will not negotiate.
She was very aggressive in her posture, she was talking fast and seemed very pushy. Up until meeting her in the room with her peer everything was great.
This interaction with her was like a "Night and Day" scenrio. I immediately started to firm a very poor opinion of the company based on her alone. Last impression is the one that lingers. Interview was a Thursday.
