The day of submitting my application, I received an email from HR wishing to set an in-person interview. I gave my availability, but was given a different tim by them which seemed like nothing but a power move after asking for my preference. The next day I interview in the HQ office, spending a good time with the lead of HR. She was a pleasure and someone I would love to work with, she went into detail about the company but I was grateful, as many of these companies with locations in NY and FL seem to be scams. She spent too much time saying there were many other candidates. She soon led me to the managing editor for the position. This woman was also lovely and said the supervisor for the position did not plan accordingly and thus did not have much time for an interview but he would join us shortly. He came in and immediately asked technical questions which were fine, but it came off condescending and the manager seemed to pitch in every now and then to lessen this. Next, I was told to follow them for a skills test. This would be fine, but companies always warn you of such and not only was I not dressed for this (it was more of a in-the-field test) but since the interview time was quickly set by Bonnier as mentioned earlier, I did not have the time to do this field test. Overall, the position and pay were never elaborated upon and it was an oddly organized interview but this company does appear like a good place to work.
