I applied online and was contacted within the week by someone on the BOTM team. I had 2-3 Zoom interviews with members of the PTR and Creative teams, and then completed a project and one round of edits based on the team's feedback. The project was paid, and the feedback round gave me a clear idea of what it would be like to work at BOTM day to day. For the final stage, I had a series of interviews and presented my project to a panel on-site at their office in New York.
Everyone on the BOTM team was super kind and communicative. I never waited more than a couple of days to hear about next steps, and I got the impression that they care a lot about their people. It is a rigorous process, but none of the steps felt superfluous, and I was ready to make an educated decision when my offer came.
