A recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin, that recruiter put me in touch with two other recruiters, one of which I communicated throughout the rest of the process. They sent my resume to the team and they set me up for an interview all within a week. The interview was 30 minutes ( it lasted 45 minutes because I asked a ton of questions) with the tech lead and one team member over Webex. They asked me questions about my experience as it relates to the role, and if I didn’t have direct experience they created scenarios in the tech stack I was most familiar with. It wasn’t extremely technical. They really cared about my work ethic, my passions, how I communicate with others, and if I can learn quickly. Booz Allen seems to be the type of company that hires quality people over what’s on a resume. For as many people as were involved in the process, they were quick to provide feedback. Although it wasn’t the right role for me, I will definitely look to join the company in the future.
