Title: Disorganized and Unprofessional Interview Experience for Senior Role
Review:
I interviewed for a senior-level commercial role and found the experience to be highly inconsistent with expectations for this level.
The interview style was more interrogative than conversational, with limited opportunity for a two-way dialogue. When I asked about key aspects of the role such as KPIs, performance expectations, and what success looks like in the first six months, I was repeatedly redirected rather than given clear answers. This made it difficult to understand how performance is actually measured within the organization.
There was also a noticeable lack of engagement from one of the interviewers, including turning off their camera mid-conversation and ending the interview early without explanation. This felt unprofessional and dismissive, particularly for a leadership-level interaction.
Overall, the experience raised concerns about internal alignment, communication, and how candidates—and potentially employees—are treated.
Advice to Management:
Create a more structured and transparent interview process. Senior candidates should be able to clearly understand expectations for success, and interviews should reflect mutual respect and professionalism.
