Ghosted after three interview rounds and a work sample test that took me a good couple of hours. The interviews went well overall (or so it seemed). I enjoyed talking to the two people that interviewed me and was genuinely enthusiastic about the possibility of joining the company. The first interview was a phone call with a recruiter, the second one was a 30-minute Zoom call with that same recruiter, and the third one was a longer interview with a manager I'd be working with. During the second interview, I was promised to hear back from the recruiter by a specific day, which didn't happen, so I followed up over email a few days later, and that's when they did call me to arrange the third interview. I completed the work sample test they gave me after the third interview a day before the deadline. Since then, crickets. I followed up, this time to no avail. I can understand not getting back to every resume a company receives or every candidate after the initial screening calls. To hear nothing after three interview rounds and some actual work is a bit much. Given how much praise the interviewers sang to their company culture, I would at least expect a short and sweet rejection email — but no. Perhaps that is much more telling of what the company culture really is.
