It happened very swiftly, and I received an offer that day. They were very eager to hire someone for the position. The panel was not as intimidating as I had expected.

There was not a full interview, the first step was the efficiency test. I guess I didn't do so well because I didn't get a call back. But I have no idea what I scored and with my technical background I could have definitely been an asset to the team but I never got a chance to speak with anyone about the position.

Applied for M.T. position and was called in for a mechanical aptitude test. The test consisted of 51 questions and a 70% was required to pass to the next step. There was also electrical and electronics on the test, but was only required if applying for the maintenance engineering technician position. Following the aptitude test, there was an interview with the skilled trades group, which consisted on a written portion and a practical portion. Very laid back since they know it's intimidating to sit in front of 8 very skilled workers. They work through the questions and see how much you know, then they walk through the training center and ask if you know how certain parts work/what they are. Definitely need to know pneumatic diagrams, at least a general understanding. Bearings are also a must know. They decided at the skilled trades group interview if you got the job or not.
What is the force exerted by a pneumatic piston with a cylinder diameter of 3" and a pressure of 200psi in the direction not containing the rod? Will that same pressure have the same force if it was on the opposite side of the cylinder that contains the piston rod?
