O processo levou 6 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Bright.md (Vancouver, WA).
Entrevista
The first interview was typical, with an HR recruiter. She assured me that the company valued the time of every candidate. She was personable and friendly.
The next interview was with a hiring manager. It was a typical zoom interview.
Two days later I was asked to do an assignment. I spent two hours on the assignment and returned it the next day.
A few days later, I was asked to interview with more members of the team. Each was thirty minutes. Times four people. So two hours. I was told I could expect to hear back by the middle of the following week. I heard nothing the following week.
After 2.5 weeks passed, I followed up with an email (as I did after every interview). They decided to go another direction with someone who had more experience in a different area. That’s fine, of course. But this fact should have been evident before I even did the two-hour assignment and spent two hours in more interviews. So much for valuing the candidate’s time.
Of the six people who interviewed me total, only one looked at my LinkedIn profile. Few asked a question I hadn’t already answered in the first interview. The last four interviews were so identical they could have been held at the same time. No one was prepared, and just one of the four checked LI before the interview.
This is NOT a company that respects people’s time or values the candidates who take the time to apply and interview.

I went through 4 interviews total. 1 with the recruiter, 2 with the hiring manager - one of which was a scenario based interview where I was asked 4 different questions and provided feedback on how I’d respond. 4th I was asked to prepare a slideshow presentation to present to 5 Bright.MD team members (leaders and peers).
Afterwards I followed up with the recruiter and asked her to forward on an email I had drafted for the hiring manager. After a week of no response I followed up again. No response.
I waited to write this review as I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. It’s been over a month and I have not even received so much as a templated email response letting me know I didn’t get the job.
I’m not writing this review as a type of revenge. I really just want the hiring team to know that when someone puts that amount of effort and time into the interview process you have asked them to participate in, at minimum a bit of feedback is a really nice gesture. Especially if they ask for feedback multiple times.
I appreciate the opportunity to have been considered, but would have loved to understand where my skills didn’t quite line up for the position and would have have taken another crack at it in the future. Being ghosted has left me hesitant to that possibility.
The technology and ideas for the company are fantastic and I was really excited to possibly join the team.
Kindness matters. 🤙

Thorough conversations with multiple parts of the organization. Giving a presentation to teach them something, not necessarily work-related. This is something they hope will be fun for you. This may actually be where I lost them.
