Job based in NYC, manager was based remote, first interview I came into their NYC office and had a video call with the manager. They followed up 2 days later asking for another interview with four people from the team including manager again, and one additional HR interview. Third interview was about 10 days later scheduled with the manager's boss and another member of the larger team.

It was good. Merge of technical and behavioural questions. Prepare thoroughly. They can ask anything. Be strong in technical and confident while giving answers. No bluffing please. They make you feel comfortable. Panel of 2 to 5.

depends on the team, based on my team, managers select candidate based on bundle of resume and ask HR to arrange interview, normally 3 rounds but each case can be different.
